Keep the current prescription together
Use a clear, current prescription that shows the patient name, medicine name, strength and clinician instructions. A request is not a replacement for a prescription or clinical consultation.
If there is more than one medicine on the treatment plan, do not assume that only one can be considered in isolation. Tell the treating team about any access question.
Share the destination, not assumptions
State where the patient is receiving treatment: Ghana or Kenya. Public information cannot confirm that a specific medicine can be supplied, imported or delivered to a particular individual.
A careful assessment checks the medicine and route before the family is asked to decide whether to proceed.
Use a reliable way to be reached
Give an email address and phone number that the patient or caregiver monitors. Ask process questions through the secure request route or by email; do not send prescriptions through informal chat.
